The objectives

Jeunes Talents Escoffier
Launched by the Disciples Escoffier, the "Young Talents Escoffier" competition is designed to support, exchange and pass on knowledge. It has now established itself as a major event in international gastronomy.

On a global scale, it is characterized by its focus on youth (the competition is open only to young people under the age of 25), but also by its diversity, with a culinary category and a service category.

Each French country or region must enter a team in the relevant zones.

Our competition has many objectives:

  • Make future professionals curious about Auguste Escoffier
  • Preserve the legacy of Auguste Escoffier
  • Prepare young people for their future careers
  • Pass on the love of the trade
  • Discuss and prepare for the competition with the assistance of a professional coach
  • Meet seasoned professionals at the various competition selections (Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Disciples Escoffier, Journalists and gastronomes)
  • Share this experience with candidates from all over the world
  • Learn the demands of competitions and enable them to take part in other challenges
  • To enable candidates to continue perfecting their skills as cooks or waiters with the help of the Escoffier network.

Selection finalists become Disciples Young Hopefuls.

They will wear the Orange Scarf of the Escoffier Disciples.

They will be mentored by their delegations for the first 5 years of their professional careers, in order to advise, support and guide them as far as possible in their professional environment.
